Joe Pug, Bhi Bhiman
Joe Pug is a singer-songwriter from Chicago. He has released two EPs, ‘Nation Of Heat’ and ‘In The Meantime’, the latter of which has been made available for free on his website. He has toured extensively since 2008 and has opened for alt-country pioneer Steve Earle, singer-songwriter Josh Ritter and folk-rocker M. Ward among others. Pug released his first full-length album, ‘Messenger’, in February 2010.
“Pug is the real deal. The kid’s got that weariness in his delivery that you can’t smoke or drink your way to because it comes from somewhere deeper than the vocal chords. It’s the same gritty, spirited voice that made Hank I, Kurt Cobain, and Bob Dylan iconic, and we as Chicagoans will be privileged enough to watch the kid develop from precocious youngster to out and out star.” – Chicagoist
After selling out two nights at Upstairs at The Garage in 2011, Joe Pug returns for a special gig at The Borderline on Feb 23rd. Supporting will be Bhi Bhiman.
Age restrictions – shows are 14+, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, proof of age upon request regardless of advance ticket purchase.
